Tailgating Etiquette
I had originally wrote this up in the 49ers.com Message board because
we have some 49ers fans who don't know how to cheer for their team.
The last few games we have had 49er Fans cheering when the Niners had
the ball. That's a big no no. Also we have had an influx of new Season
Ticket Holders who don't know whats up. So here is a list of rules to
follow when you are inside the Stadium..
Note:: Where it says, "Niners", Insert your team. Unless you all want to start supporting the 49ers. Ha ha.
Compiled by myself and some fellow 49er Faithful @ 49ers.com. Spread the Word.
1.
Be quiet when the 49ers have the ball. It's hard for the QB to make
changes at the line of scrimmage when the fans are making too much
noise.
2. When the Niners are on DEFENSE scream at the top of your lungs and no one is in their seat.
3.
Do not let opposing team fans wave their flag in our stadium. Proper
etiquettte is to roll it up and put it somewhere, preferably where they
have to use the restroom to pull it out.
4. If opposing fans are
screaming their chant or whatver, it is everybody in that sections
responsibility to be LOUDER than they are. NO EXCUSES.
5. If
opposing team fans are disrespecting any part of our stadium, team,
coaching staff or other HOME TEAM FANS all bets are off. Do whatever
you would do if they were saying the same thing about your mother. The
Niners deserve at least that much respect.
6. No usher should EVER come up to a fan and tell them to sit down and be quiet.
7. Know when to stand up! I hate when there's a simple 2-yard run or something and someone in front of you stands up!
8. Wait for a stoppage in play before leaving or returning to the seating area
