I'm a fun-loving, sports-watching, research-doing, beer-drinking, simulation-running, SEC football fan at Vanderbilt University ... my website is http://www.people.vanderbilt.edu/~robert.f.guratzsch/ Check it out if you want to know more!
I suppose I could tell you all about the itty-gritty
detail of our conversation, but I will spare you the pain and
suffering. Instead I will tell you the bottom line, the main
reason, the gravy on my mashed potatoes, of why it is that I do not
like Vince Young: in his three years as a college player, he did not
gather enough sense to know that a college degree is a major plus when
ending ones university career. I realize that Vince did not necessarily
attend college to get an education, however, I believe that it was a
huge mistake to not finish his fourth year at Texas, gather additional
skills (both on and off the field, i.e. the classroom), perhaps receive
that little bronze statue that really highlights a college football
player's career, and then start his professional existence as a much more valuable asset to any team.

Yeah, he's looking terrible, only gaining 250 yards and a win against the Colts. That 4th-quarter 21-point comeback win against the Giants was pretty unimpressive, too.
If I'm not mistaken, he won something much more important than a Heisman, and that national championship title isn't decided by media voters. If any player has ever earned the right to leave college early, it's Vince.
