Dear What Not,
While I am not a fashion expert, my last roommate was a little of a metrosexual and I've been known to glance at US Weekly when waiting in the supermarket line, therefore, I think I have some ground to stand on.
When tailgating, you'll want to wear something comfortable--usually it is your team's colors or a shirt that makes a statement (such as "@#$! State" or "Go Ugly Early"). Make sure you check the weather to ensure proper covering; you definitely don't want to get caught in too little or too much. Tailgating is a marathon, not a sprint and you don't want to be uncomfortable 5 miles in. Regardless of the temperature, make sure you have sunscreen--worst case scenario, you burn your burgers, your team loses, and you get a burn. Not cool, dude.
Finally, make sure you have a comfortable and durable pair of kicks to wear. At a good tailgate, you'll be on your feet quite a bit and there is a good chance something may get spilled on them.
Overall, just wear something comfortable. You're not going to the bars and you're going to interview. You're having fun with friends and family so kick back, relax, and happy tailgating.
Here's to you,
Tony |
