Dear Tony, |

I desparately want to impress my girlfriends parents, so I was thinking of throwing a tailgate and inviting them to it. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Dear Perplexion,
While your intentions may be good, you walk a fine line when trying to impress your (potentially) future inlaws at a tailgate. If you do chose to have a tailgate, ask yourself these three questions: 1) Will any of your buddies be there, 2) Do you have plans on playing games like Flippy Cup, Tailgate Toss, or Beer Pong, and 3) Do you really love her? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you may want to reconsider, my friend. By inviting potential inlaws into an atmosphere often described as "the best time of your life," you run the risk of leaving an impression on them deeper than a Warren Sapp cleat to the face.
Sometimes, Starbucks isn't such a bad idea.
Here's to you,
Tony |
