Just saw that the average NFL ticket price just rose 5.6% to 62.38. That is ridiculous. Do I keep my girlfriend or support my favorite team? What recommendation do you have for the common fan?

Dear Empty Pockets,
I feel your pain--I once went two seasons of tailgating without attending a single game because tickets were out of my budget, granted I still tailgated, but you get the point. But let me make a point. During that time I had some tough decisions to make--do I buy tickets and not tailgate? do I tailgate and not buy tickets? do I dump my girlfriend to go to the games? what if I keep her, don't go tailgating, and she breaks up with me anyway? is her younger, better looking sister off-limits? These are all questions you may have also, and just know they are normal. Ultimately you need to make a decision about your past, present, and your future, and ask yourself, do you think once you marry this fine young lady she's going to cost you less than 5.6% a year?
